Dance Recital

We'll we had our annual dance recital on Saturday. This is the real big one, which is a big deal to all the dancer. Chloe is always excited to get up on stage and perform. We started off by having rehersal on Friday night from 6 until 9:30. Yippee, that was not fun. Chloe was act 3 this year so she was not thrilled about the long wait in between her act and the finale. We made it through Friday night and got to get up and do it all over again Saturday afternoon. Mommy started off by curling her hair which took right under 2hrs. Yep, the things we do for our children. LOL. After that we headed down to memoral auditorium to get seats saved and then get ready. Chloe was excited b/c her class actually had their own dressing room complete with mirrors and lots of lights. The recital was great and she did awesome! I love to watch her dance!! Now, we don't have to do that again until the christmas recital in December.

We'll Chloe finished her first year of Elementary school. It's hard to believe that she will be in first grade and quickly growing up. She finished up with a bang. She received her medal the second to last day of school and then at the awards program on the last day of school, she received 4 awards. One of which was the principal award, this was the first time she got that one. I was very proud of her and hope she keeps up the great work at school.

Chloe came home from school today wearing a medal and she had a letter for us. She was chosen as Classroom Student of the Month for May. She was so excited and proud of her medal. I was very proud of her too. She is such a good student and loves school. Hopefully, this will continue as she gets older. Good job baby girl, keep up the good work.

Memorial Day Cookout

We decided to have our cookout on Sunday this year instead of Monday. We thought that everyone could stay later and enjoy themselves even more. We had around 40 people, including kids and man was there a lot of action going on. We had so much fun and couldn't have asked for a better day. Everyone played cornhole, the kids played on the swing set and once it got dark, Jeff set up the projector and movie screen and we watched a movie under the stars. It was an awesome day. We have such wonderful family and friends.

On Saturday, Chloe was invited over to Bailey's house for one last play date at their house. In less then a week, they will be moving to Alabama. Chloe is so sad that Bailey will be so far away but I reassured her that we could write to Bailey, talk to her on the phone and then we can always go and visit. I am very excited for them and know that God is going to bless them tremendously. We will all miss them greatly.

Tuesday May 19th, was parent night at Chloe's dance. We got to see their routine for the recital and got lots of information about picture day, rehersal day and then the big recital day. I always love this time of year with dance because it's when I actually get to be involved and yes I love doing the hair and make-up. So fun!!!!

We'll on my birthday, Mon. May 18th, we celebrated at mom's house with a wonderful dinner and of course presents. We also celebrated Jordan's birthday since he is only 4 days after me. I can't beleive I turned 29 and my baby boy turned 13!!!!!! Man I am getting old. We all had a good time and I enjoyed getting to see everyone on my birthday.

This past weekend we headed to KOA in Shepherdsville for some fun. We went camping with some friends from church and we had a ball! Jeff, of course took stuff to have a movie. So at night we were able to watch a movie like we were at a drive in. We really just relaxed and hung out, it was very nice. Got rained on the first night but everyone stayed dried. We even got to swim since the pool was heated. I think I am starting to win over Jeff with the whole camping thing.

Logan and Stephanie came over to hang out with Chloe and I on Monday (5-11-09). We ate pizza and hung out. The kiddo's got to play outside while Steph and I got to catch up on some girl talk. It has been such a long time since we got to hang out since Logan has been sick with his seizures. We had a great time and the kids played very good together. Please keep Logan in your prayers, June 1 he will be going to Cleveland for brain surgery. We are hoping and praying the surgery will help his seizures and he can a normal little boy again.

Chloe has been saving her money and finally decided what she wanted to spend it on, a scooter. I wasn't sure if she would even be able to do it, so we headed to Walmart and I let her try one out on the floor. She really impressed me. So, we picked out a Barbie on and she loves it and does good at it. She is really getting brave and going a little faster each time.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I have had a great day w/ family. We got up and went to church this morning and then had family over to our house for dinner. We'll we finally made it home from an amazing trip. I can't even begin to explain how awesome the entire trip was. Just when we thought we had seen and experienced the most magical thing ever, then we woke up to another exciting day. I couldn't have imagined a more magical and wonderful trip. I took plenty of pictures, 904 to be exact! Yes, I know a little over the top but I wanted to remember every part of our trip! I would have had over 300 more but some how they just disappeared from my memory card, and I was devastated! Luckily, my mom pretty much took the same pics as I did. We'll still trying to get things back to normal at home so pictures will come later and there will be plenty!!!! Stay tuned.

We woke up to find a basket full of candy for Chloe and daddy from the easter bunny. Chloe was very excited at all the stuff the easter bunny left. She kept asking how he knew what candy she liked. The innocence of a child is priceless. We went to church and got to spend it with family. It was great having all of my family together in church. We then headed to Shirley Jane and Jerry's for lunch and yet another egg hunt. This was the 3rd one for Chloe. We had a great but exhausting day. I hope everyone remembers the real reason for Easter. Christ has Risen!

I decided to have an easter egg hunt at the new house for some of our friends and Chloe's friends. I always love doing things like this and usually go overboard. That is why we had 500 eggs to hide and hunt for. But I just wanted to make sure the kids got enough eggs. Needless to say they got plenty and we are still missing 10 eggs. LOL. I guess we will find them next time we cut grass. The kids seemed to have a blast and loved playing on the swing set. The adults sat around eating, our favorite thing to do. We are blessed with great friends and family!

The swing set finally got finished Saturday about 2:30. They finished just in time since most of the guest for the egg hunt were already there. It turned out great and seeing the excitement on Chloe's face made it all worth it. The kids had a ball playing on it after the egg hunt. I think we made a good choice by getting it instead of the trampoline. Maybe next year we can get the trampoline.

We'll we are in the process of putting together one of those huge wooden swing sets from toys r us. Let me just say, it's worth it to pay someone to do it. We never dreamed how much trouble it would be. But once Chloe gets to play on it, it will all be worth it. This was her birthday presents from us plus some. Today we had my dad's side of the family over for Easter. We haven't gotten together on Easter since my grandma passed away. It was good to have everyone together. We ate good food, had an easter egg hunt and just hung out. After all of that, all of us with kids headed to the mall to get their picture made w/ the Easter bunny. I was very upset, b/c they use to let you take your own pictures but not anymore. Whatever! All in all it was a good day and the weather was wonderful.

I decided to have a girls day out, just me and Chloe. We started off by going to breakfast at cracker barrell. Then we headed over to Indiana and got our nails done, went to hobby lobby, went to chuck e cheese and then headed to target. We had a wonderful day and it was nice just being the two of us. Hopefully, she will want to spend many more days with her mommy. Tonight, I am headed to Archivers for some scrapbooking! I love it!!

Never Ending Sickness!

We'll our household has been sick it seems like for over a month now. We have had everything you can think of. Over a week ago, I started with a Sinus infection that went into bronchittis & pneumonia. Then last weekend Jeff started getting sick and he ended up with a sinus infection, double ear infection, bronchittis and pneumonia. He is just now getting over it and now Chloe has it. She started running a fever last night and complaining with her throat hurting. So I took her to the Little Clinic today and she has the start of bronchittis and pneumonia. I am so tired of us being sick. I just want to know will it ever end???

We'll last night I finally start painting Chloe's room. I figured I better get started since we are planning on painting the living room and basement too. Painting is not our favorite thing to do but we are tired of the the white walls. We are color people! So, when I got home from work last night, I started in her room and got the first coat of paint on. I finished up this morning and now I am just waiting for it to dry so we can put everything up. Chloe's favorite color is pink so we did the top half a light pink and the bottom half a darker pink. It turned out better then I thought. Here are some before and during pictures. We'll we finally hosted our first "Family Birthday Party" for Jeff's family. We have been hesitant to have one b/c there are many, many kids and we didn't want our house destroyed but it went really good and we had a good time. Every year since Chloe turned one, we have gone to the circus the same weekend as her birthday. We always go with my cousin Kara and her family, my sister and family and Jeff's family. We love it and look forward to it every year. This year was special because my cousin Theresa finally has a baby boy and went with us for the first time. I honestly didn't get to take a lot of pictures this year b/c I was busy holding sweet Brayden. Chloe of course rode the ponies and she even rode the elephants this year. We had a wonderful time and look forward to next year.

We'll the day finally came for Chloe's bd party. She woke up so excited and couldn't wait for all her friends to come. I was feeling much better and was glad because I needed all the energy I could get! We started the party off by letting the girls get make up on and then the boys got to decorate crowns. We were waiting on one child to get there so we let Chloe open presents. She did not object to that at all. LOL. Once all the presents were open, the kids had a treasure hunt with 6 clues. They loved and did so good. Then we proceeded to have cake and ice cream. I think the party was a success and Chloe had a wonderful time. She then had three friends spend the night and they had a blast and were so good. I still can't believe she is six now!

We'll I woke up this morning sick with the stomach bug! This will be the 2nd time I have gotten it. To top it off, I have so much to do to get ready for Chloe's birthday party tomorrow, which includes decorating her cakes. I am so aggrevated and haven't been able to get out of bed except to run to the bathroom. Chloe even had to stay home from school because I couldn't stay out of the bathroom long enough to take her to school. I am just praying I start feeling better so I can get things done for the party tomorrow.

Thursday was Chloe's 6th Birthday. It is so hard to believe that she is 6 now. I remember waiting so anxiously for her to be born and now she is 6 and in school. Chloe was so happy to wake up and it finally be here birthday. I met her at school for lunch and brought a balloon and cupcakes for her class. You could tell she was eating up all the attention. I wish I could have spent the whole day with her but I am glad I could at least eat with her. Later that evening we went to mawmaw's for a birthday dinner. We decided to do that so that pawpaw Gambrell could come and not have to be there for her party w/ all the kids. LOL. So, it was mommy, daddy, mawmaw, pawpaw, Aunt Christy, Jordan, Joshua, granny and Pappy. We had a wonderful dinner and she got lots of wonderful presents! Pictures will come soon.

We'll we had our first real snow/ice storm today. School's were out but I still had to go to work. When I got home tonight, I checked out on the deck and was amazed at what I saw. The news says it's only going to get worse tonight and tomorrow morning. I am hopeing I will get a snow day tomorrow along with the rest of Louisville, but I guess we will see.

Since we all were off for Martin Luther King Day, we decided to let Chloe have a friend over. Bless her heart, she gets so lonely by herself all the time. She had Madelyn, a friend she use to dance with, over and they had a blast together. They hadn't seen each other for a year and you could tell it. They laughed and giggled for hours. Madelyn spent the night and so the girls had a sleepover downstairs with me. They had so much fun together.

Today we went to church and then over to Granny and Pappy's house for Lunch. We always love going there, not just because the food is delicious but because Granny and Pappy are such wonderful people and they are always happy to see us! After lunch Granny and Aunt Sarah rode out with us to get Chloe's 6yr old pic made at Portrait Innovation. That place exceeded all my expectations. It was a wonderful experience and the pictures were fabulous! Chloe was quite the little ham as usual and she looked so beautiful. I still can't believe she is going to be 6 in a few weeks. We are trying to get things ready for the Barbie Princess Party. If anyone has any great ideas on crafts, let me know. These are just a few of her pictures. Today was a typical Thursday. Mommy had to work late and then rushed to pick Chloe up from Aunt Christy. We had a hair appointment for Chloe. It was way past time for another one. She looks so pretty and so grown up. It's hard to believe that in 3 weeks she will be 6!

We'll today started off normal but I soon realized it wouldn't be ordinary. I started feeling really sick to my stomach and eventually did get sick. Then I got a call from Jeff saying he was headed home sick too. Yippee. Luckily so far Chloe has been fine. We have confined her to her room so she can hopefully stay well. Hopefully, Jeff and I will get over this real soon.

It's nice going on vacation but it stinks when you have to go back to work. We had a wonderful vacation. We didn't go any where but we had an amazing time just spending time together as a family. We went to the movies one day, hung out at home and just other low key things. But all good things come to an end. This week was back to work and back to school for Chloe. Hopefully now that things are back to normal, I can keep this updated everyday.

Chloe and I started out the day looking for Birthday stuff for her birthday and then we headed home so I could get stuff ready for dinner with the Diehl's and then our New Year's Eve party with some friends. The Diehl's came over early for dinner and then we exchanged presents. Then everyone else started arriving for the party. Luckily, the pages brought their WII and that was the main source of entertainment. I absolutely loved it. I can see how it can be addicting. The kids played really good w/ Chloe's barbies and then watching movies. Everyone, including the kids made it to midnight and past that. We had a blast and are thankful we have such wonderful friends.

We finally got to have Christmas with Dale, Lori and Alex last night before everyone came over for New Year's Eve. They did way too much for us and we appreciate everything they do for us and what they mean to us. Chloe got a lot of things including a purse, barbie, some shirts and lots of other things. I got several shirts and a couple of necklaces and Jeff got some shirts. We had a good dinner and nice time together.

Monday we spent the day at Mawmaw's house since this was the last day Uncle Lee and his family would be in town. We all headed out to do some shopping and ended up at Bass Pro Shop. Santa came!!!! Chloe actually woke us up this year and she had already checked out the presents and was super excited. Jeff was a little slow getting up so I got up and let Chloe go ahead with her stocking. While she was opening her stocking I noticed she was shaking and I just thought she was cold but she said "no mommy, I am just really excited" I thought that was so cute. Christmas Eve I was off and we decided to have christmas w/ mom and family over at our house. So mom, Christy and I split food and we all made different things. We had lunch and then time to open packages. We all got lots of fun things and knew this started our many days of opening presents. After we got everything cleaned up we let the kids decorate cookies for Santa. Later on we headed to church for the christmas eve service and then out to Therea's for christmas w/ dad's side of the family. It was really special this year because of baby Brayden. He was definitely the highlight of the night. The thing that surprised me was that Chloe fell in love with him and wanted to hold him non stop. We got the cutest picture of all of them in christmas pj's in front of the tree. Such special memories. Once we got home, Chloe got Santa's cookies out and his milk and headed to bed.

On Sunday the 21st we got to wake up and wear our new Christmas clothes to church. We also had a Birthday party for Jesus at sunday school. We combined the pre-k class and our Kindergarten class and had one big Birthday party for Jesus. The kids had a great time and made ornaments for their parents. Later on that day Chloe and I finally decorated the ginerbread house we had bought. It turned out really cute. We couldn't eat it though because I decided to use a hot clue gun to hold it together. I wanted to make sure it didn't come apart.

Chloe had her schoold christmas program today. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I knew she had one little line she had to memorize. It was absolutely adorable and all the kids did a wonderful job. They were all so enthusiastic and sang really loud. Chloe was on the first row and really played the part. She had us cracking up.

Welcome Brayden Thomas Shake

We'll on Friday Dec. 12 we welcomed the newest member to my dad's side of the family. Brayden Thomas Shake was born at 5:59 pm and was 5lbs 18in long. He is extra special because my cousin Theresa has been trying for years to get pregnant and then we find out she has been asked to adopt little Brayden when he was born. This is very near and dear to my heart as you all know. We are so excited for Theresa and baby Brayden.

Tonight was the last night of dance until after christmas break. Since they just had their recital they got to wear pj's, bring treats and bring a gift to exchange. Chloe was excited to take her gift she picked out all by herself. She ended up with a princess ornament. She was not very happy because she said everyone else got "good" presents. Can't say I blame her to much but I was proud of her for being nice about it.

Forgot to post this before the others but last Thursday I watched Joshua and Jordan while Christy went to her work Christmas party. Sunday was a very busy day. After church we had a birthday dinner for mawmaw. We had a wonderful lunch and then let mawmaw open her presents and eat cake. After that we headed to the mall so the kids could see santa. Chloe was very excited b/c she had already gotten a letter from santa. Later that night we had christmas with the Price's. We hadn't seen them for quite a while and the kids were very excited to see each other. We had some yummy pizza and then we let the kids exchange gifts. We all had a great time.

Saturday we had our sunday school progressive dinner. We started the night at our house with appitizer. Jeff and I were excited b/c we finally had a house big enough to where we could host something. After our house we headed to the Johnson's for the main course and some break dancing. LOL. Then it was off to the Locke's for desserts and some very interesting white elephant gifts. We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed our new classmates, Adult 8. We feel like God is truly blessing us in this new phase of our class. God is awesome!!

My little Santa

This past Friday (the 12th) Chloe had her christmas recital for dance. She danced to "Here comes Santa Claus". She is always excited for her recitals because she loves dressing up and of course showing off for everyone. Mommy was a little stressed b/c I had to save 18 seats by myself until people got there. What a job for mommy. We are always thankful for everyone who comes out to support and watch Chloe in what she loves to do. The one thing I noticed this year was that Chloe wasn't looking at the other girls to see what to do but she was telling everyone what to do. I was cracking up. She did wonderful!

We'll today Jeff turned 31. He did much better this year about his bd then last year when he turned the big 30! He took the day off to relax but ended up with Chloe since she is still sick. They still had a pretty relaxing day. We headed out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then to Sam and Beth's for a bd party with the "whole" family.

Sunday after church we headed to mawmaw's house to help her and pawpaw decorate their tree. After lunch the kids changed into their matching christmas pj's and got ready to put ornaments on the tree. Of course Chloe and Joshua were racing trying to beat the other one but Jordan was mad because we made him wear feeted pj's. LOL. Mawmaw's tree looked great when the kids were done and we took their pictures in front of the tree for mawmaw's christmas card. After the tree was done the kids got to decorate a plate for Santa's cookies. I was anxious to see just how they would each decorate the plate. They turned out really cute and will be neat to use it year after year.

I had to work today so while I was gone, Jeff and Chloe got the tree up so we could decorate it when I got home. I was so excited because we got a new tree this year and it is so goregous. It took me over an hour just to fluff it, man what a job. We were very excited because this is our first year in our new house so we have lots more room. Chloe was so excited to put the ornaments on the tree, she even put her Christmas dress on for the occassion. I just love the holiday season and all that comes with it.

Chloe and I woke up early and headed to mawmaw's to help her cook. She usually doesn't like help but I told her we were starting a new tradition by us all cooking together. Chloe had a ball and loved every minute of it. We had a house full of people. Uncle Lee, Aunt Amy and the boys were in from Georgia, it's always good to see them. After we ate we headed over to Theresa's for Thanksgiving with dad's family. Then off again for our third and final stop at Jeff's family. Man what a busy day but we have a lot to be thankful for.

I finally got Chloe to write her letter to Santa Claus tonight. Of course trying to get her to narrow what she wanted down was the hard part but we did it. She wrote all of it herself and even drew a picture of santa and a picture of our family for santa. Hopefully, santa can make her wish's come true.

Thanksgiving Feast

Today Chloe's class had a thanksgiving feast and I was able to go for it. They had gotten to make pilgrim hats and placemats. They also got to eat delicious food. They had turkey, dressing, corn, cranberry sauce, sweet potato's and corn muffins. Her teacher wanted them to at least try each thing and see if they liked it. Chloe did actually try each thing but didn't like the cranberry sauce or the sweet potato's. I really enjoy getting to spend time with her at school.

Monday, Chloe's school had an awards day and I was able to go along with Granny and Mawmaw. Chloe was so excited to see us all there and she waited paitiently to see if she got any awards. There were 6 awards they could get and Chloe got 5 of them. I was so proud of her. She got honor roll, outstanding conduct, homework club, outstanding in Practical Living & academic improvement. I was so proud of her that I couldn't hardly stand it.

Today after church we headed to Sam and Beth's for lunch and then we all got ready to head to Iroquois Park for family pictures. We have been trying to do this every other year since Chloe was little. I was afraid at how they would turn out since it was so cold and gloomy outside but they turned out wonderful. This weekend Jeff went camping with some guys from church so Chloe and I had the entire weekend to ourselves. Friday night Lori and Jennifer came over for Pizza and movies. It was nice to have a girl's night. Saturday morning we got up early and went to Shoney's for breakfast with Mawmaw. It was girl's day out with her. I had been looking forward to this all week since we hadn't spent just girl time in a long time. After breakfast we headed to the mall, target and then Hobby Lobby. We had a wonderful time. Then we met up with Lori and Alex and went back to Slow poke farm to take some senior pictures of Alex. By the time we got home, Chloe and I were beat. We rented a movie, ate popcorn and painted our nails. I hope we have many more days like this. I loved it.

We headed to church early on Halloween to get our trunk ready for trunk n treat. We met Mrs. Lori & Mr. Dale, Granny & Pappy and Mawmaw and Jordan up there to decorate. We did our trunk in spider pumpkins and spider webs. It turned out really cool. We had so much fun and there were so many kids that came through. We are looking forward to next year.

On Friday, Halloween, Chloe's school class had a fall party. I signed up to help, which was a good thing because the assissant teacher was out and the kids were wild and crazy. They had got to carve a pumpkin for their class and got lots of goodies and treats. Then we got to watch Charlie Brown and the great pumpkin chase. We had a wonderful time and I was glad I got to go and share it with Chloe.

Tonight was Chloe's regular dance night and since it is Halloween week they were able to wear their costumes. I must say, I have never seen so many fairies and princess's in one place. They all looked so cute and they were very excited to see each other's costume. Towards the end of the class, the parents were asked to come in and help the girl's get all of their "stuff". They had four different goody bags and 2 cupcakes. They were all sugared up. Yippee.

I can't believe it but Chloe has lost her second tooth. Sunday we were sure it was going to come out but Chloe wouldn't let us touch it. When I picked her up from school on Monday, she was grinning real big and holding an envelope. Yep, it came out. She said she was chewing a piece of gum and pushed it with her tongue and out it came. She was so excited. She was even more excited to think that the tooth fairy was coming. She came straight home from school and put the envelope under her pillow. When she woke up Tuesday morning, she was holding a $1. Who knew someone could get so excited over a $1. She was so cute, she said "Mommy, I need to write the tooth fairy a note and tell her thank you". Aren't they just so darn cute??

Last Sunday after church we headed back to Huber's but this time we went with mawmaw, Aunt Christy, Joshua and Jordan. None of the guys could go so we went with out them. It was really crowded but it was a lot cooler then the weekend before. We headed to the pumpkin patch first and then we headed over to the play area to feed the animals and play. After we were there for quite a while, we all decided to get a snack. We had the most delicious ice cream. On the way home everyone feel asleep except me, who was driving.

Last Saturday(the 17th) we went to slow poke farm with our sunday school class. We weren't sure what to expect because no one had ever been there but we all had a blast. When we first got there we ate our chili, hot dogs and PB sandwiches. Yum it was all so good. Then the kids played on the swings and in the hay maze. Then we took a hay ride to the corn maze so we could pick corn to feed the cows. They loved the corn a little too much. After that we headed to the pumpkin patch and picked some mini pumpkins. We had a wonderful time with all our friends.

Tonight Chloe had her fall festival at school. Mawmaw, Aunt Christy, Jordan and Joshua went with us too. There were lots of games to play and lots of food to eat too. The kids had lots of tickets and won lots of prize money to shop with. Chloe ended up with a huge barbie ball and a baton that is very colorful. I am sure the school made lots of money because it was very packed.

She thought it was the coolest thing but the funny thing was, when I was taking her picture with it, I had to take it 5 times because she just didn't look good enough in any of them. Chloe decided that after she got out of the bath tub, she was going to dress up in her old dance outfits and dance for me. We found one piece of the outfit and so she paired that with a skirt. Let's just say she thought she was hot stuff. She did the "run way" walk over and over and would check herself out in the mirror everytime she passed it. I was cracking up. Then we had to get the microphone out and pretend like we were singing and then she was interviewing me. Quite the imagination she has.

Off to the Pumpkin Patch

Today after Sunday School we headed to Huber's to the pumpkin patch with Granny, Pappy & Aunt Sarah. We decided to eat at IHop first, which was delicious. That was my first time eating there. Chloe got a pancake with a face on it. The eyes were strawberries, the nose was whip cream and the mouth was bananna slices. It was too cute. Then we headed to Huber's. We had a beautiful day, it was hot but beautiful and crowded. We took advantage of the photo ops first and then got in line for the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch. We were all very impressed with the selection of pumpkins this year, they had so many good ones to choose from. Obviously, we took lots of photos there too. After we had our pumpkin we headed over to the kid area where Chloe fed the animals, played on the playground and we did the Bamboo maze. Over all we had a good day but we were all wore out by the time it was over. Crazy that it's in the 80's in October!!

We'll when mommy got home from work today, she heard a noise in the bushes and when she looked there was a little kitten hiding there. Poor little thing looked so scared and was meowing. When I brought it in, daddy immediately said "NO" it can not stay. Mean daddy. :) Chloe was so excited and I told her not to get attached that we had to find someone else to take it. It is the cutest little thing and loves to sit on my shoulder and sleep. We went to Walmart and even took it with us on a blanket. It slept the whole time. Chloe is absolutely in love with it but daddy is not, so a girl mommy works with is coming to pick it up tonight. Meanwhile, it is laying with Chloe in her bed. I will have one sad little girl on my hands.

Tonight after dinner Chloe got in the tub and then she must have taken a silly pill because she came out acting very silly. She decided to show me a new trick she learned. Standing on her head on the couch. It took her several trys but she finally made it up. She then decided it was time to play tug o war with mommy. She is one strong little girl. Who needs t.v. when you have a 5 yr old silly monster to entertain you.

This past weekend we did our annual halloween camping with Aunt Kara, Uncle Tim, Austin and Jordan. For the second year in a row we went to Lake Rudolph in Santa Claus, IN. It is awesome and has so much for the kiddo's to do. Our campsite this year was right by the putt putt course so the kids loved that b/c they could golf whenever they felt like it. We were also right by the camp store, game store, bath house and park. We had an awesome site. Friday we got there early and got things set up. Then later that night we went on a hayride and watched a movie on a big screen. Saturday morning they had a big carnival where the kids could play games, pick a pumpkin and get there face painted. Then there was trick or treating that evening followed by a costume contest and a huge party with loud music. We had so much fun and already can't wait until next year.

Tonight after mommy got off of work we went to Kosair Hospital to see Logan, a friend of ours who has been having seizures. He was admitted a few days ago and will have to stay there until they stop. He had 4 seizures while we there tonight. Chloe was excited when I told her we were going to see him because it had been a while since she saw him last. We stopped by the dollar store so she could pick him up a few little surprises to take to the hospital. When we got there Chloe was so scared because he wasn't the Logan she remembered. All of the meds he is on has really changed him. She stayed right on top of mommy the entire time. It's scary to think that a child could be completely healthy and then so sick in a heart beat. He wanted Chloe to play with him so bad and sit right beside him but she was terrified. I tried to take pictures but Chloe wasn't having it and Logan was all over the place.

Today we had a cook out and had some friends over. Now that we have our new "big" house we can actually have people over and entertain. Chloe had spent the night with her pawpaw Steve on Sunday night so she was just getting home after everyone got there. She was wore out and it took her quite a while to pep up and play with all the kids. But once she got going, she had a blast. I think her favorite things was playing on the slip n slide with Cole and Taegan. Who new one of those could be so much fun. We are very blessed to have wonderful friends.

We'll we got up and went to church this morning and as soon as it was over we headed home to grab the cake and present for Joshua's bd party. I can't believe my baby nephew is 4 now!!! We stayed for a while and then headed home so pawpaw Steve and Granny Peggy (Mommy's dad and his girlfriend) could come over and see the new house. We were glad to see them b/c we don't hardly see them. Hopefully, we can make an effort to spend more time with them. We then all headed to the ball field to watch Joshua and Jordan to play ball. Man was it hot out there.

We'll since the long awaited tooth came out, Chloe got to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy. When she woke up she immediately stuck her hand under her pillow and said "she came mommy, she came!" "I got 5 million dollars!!!" LOL. Don't you wish that was true? Anyways, she got $5 and she was very proud of it.

Finally, Chloe lost her first tooth. We have been waiting for almost 2 weeks now. Chloe had a dentist appt. today to get her teeth cleaned and while we were there we showed the dentist her loose tooth. We kept trying to convince Chloe to wiggle it out herself but she wasn't having it. So the dentist told Chloe she was going to paint that tooth with some special medicine (which was numbing medicine). After it was good and numb mommy tried to wiggle out but I was kinda scared it would hurt her, so the dentist took some towels and pulled it out. Chloe didn't even know it was out, and finally the dentist said "Chloe, your tooth is gone" to which Chloe got this confused look on her face and said "Really? I didn't know that". How cute. She was so excited that finally the tooth fairy was going to come. She got a balloon and two prizes from the dentist for being such a good girl. As she went to bed tonight, she was grinning from ear to ear and said, "mommy, I can't believe the tooth fairy is really going to come!". Oh the joys of being so little.

Mommy got off early today so I was able to pick Chloe up from school. After supper we decided to make cookies. Chloe picked out the animal cookie cutters, which didn't surprise me. Towards the end of the dough, we decided to make our hand prints. Chloe thought that was the neatest thing ever. The funny thing was, after they baked, they were huge!! LOL. After the cookies were done, it was bath time and then Chloe had her first night of homework. She said "Mommy, I don't like this". That girl better get use to it. She has a long road ahead of her. My baby is growing up, and mommy is getting old!!

After church today Bailey came home from church with us. Chloe & Bailey both have really been missing each other and so they couldn't wait to play together. Mommy made a trip to walmart (I know imagine that LOL) and found matching monkey pj's that said "Best Friends Forever". The girls were really excited and wanted to put them on right away. Later this afternoon we headed to the ball field to watch Joshua and Jordan play ball. We were excited to finally get to go to a game. Jordan's team won 8 to 2 but we are not sure about Joshua b/c we had to leave before it was over. They both did really good though.

When we got up today, we decided to call Aunt Christy & Joshua and see if they wanted to go feed the ducks and play on the play ground with us. Chloe and Joshua both were scared of the ducks, why I don't know. They only wanted the bread. So the bread got thrown in big clumps and then off to the playground. We stayed there for a while and the kiddo's were getting hungry so we decided to head to McDonald's, grab lunch and head off to Iroquois park for more play time. By the time we were done, everyone was exhausted!

Tonight we went to church for the back to school blast. We started off inside for ice cream and then headed outside for corn hole, slip n slide, water ballons, bubbles and sprinklers. We'll today was Chloe's first day of Kindergarten. I think it was harder on mommy then Chloe. When we got up this morning Chloe ate breakfast and then we proceeded to get dressed. Chloe just doesn't understand why uniforms can't be in pink & purple. Go figure. But mommy saved the day by letting her wear her pink sparkly belt. Good thing she can wear that in pink. LOL. Mawmaw came over and went with us to school, which really helped mommy stay calm. We took some pic outside before we left and then we took some more once we got to school. Chloe was so big walking into school and she went right in and sat down and started coloring. Mommy kept hugging and kissing on her and she politely said "Mommy it's time for you to leave, I am busy coloring now". Bless her heart, she knew mommy was having a hard time letting go and wanted to be nice about telling me to GO. LOL. Mommy kept busy at home doing a lot of house work, trying not to think about it. When I got to pick her up, she had a pick smile on her face and her exact words were "it was awesome". I am so relieved that God kept her safe and got us both through this first day of Kindergarten.

Today was spent getting stuff ready for Chloe's first day of Kindergarten tomorrow. I wanted to make sure everything was ready and we had everything together. I also just wanted to spend the day with Chloe and keep things low key so she wasn't to wore out. She seems to be really excited about it and I know she will do great. It's hard to let go of them and I know this is only the first step of many that I will have to let go of. I am sure many tears will be shed tomorrow, by mommy not Chloe! On Friday morning we woke up early and headed out to Kings Island. We wanted to do something as a family before school started. Chloe was so excited because Spongebob & Scooby Doo was at Kings Island. We really had the perfect day, it was gorgeous and not to hot. We spent the entire day there and didn't get home until 12:45 am. When we were leaving the park Chloe looked at us both and said "Thank you both for today". It was the sweetest thing I have ever heard!

Atlantis Water Park

On our second day of vacation we decided to head over to Atlantis water park. Daddy and Chloe have been there a lot this summer with the Y but mommy had never been. Chloe was excited because she actually got to go to the wave pool today. Needless to say that is where she wanted to stay almost the whole time. I tell you what, those waves will wear you out. We had a really good time and will definitely go back next summer.

We'll mommy is finally feeling a little better and today started her vacation. We wanted to go to Atlantis Water park but with it raining we decided to do something in doors instead. We picked up Jordan and Bailey and headed to Chuck e Cheese for some play time. Chloe and Bailey haven't got to spend a lot of time together since Chloe started going to the YMCA with daddy. They are always glad to see each other and they played very well together today. After chuck e cheese, Bailey came home with us to play some more.

Chloe is going to miss her.

Friday was Chloe's last day at the YMCA for the summer. They rented a blow up water slide and the kids had a ball playing on it all day. Jeff says Chloe was scared to go down at first but as the day went on, he couldn't keep her off of it. I can't believe that in just a little over a week, Chloe will be starting "big girl" school. That makes mommy so sad and scared. Please pray for mommy!!

Everything stopped when Scooby Doo came on t.v.

Tonight daddy went to the movies with some of his friends so mommy and Chloe headed over to Mrs. Angela's house for dinner and some girl time. Some of our other friends where there too. We enjoyed a delicious meal and yummy desserts. The little girls had a good time playing outside on the trampoline while the big girls had fun talking and laughing. Mommy was called the party pooper because we headed home around 9:00. Mommy was the only one there that had to work in the morning. So yes, I was the party pooper. Thanks guys!! LOL.

After I got off work tonight, Chloe & I headed to McDonalds to eat supper & let Chloe play. We didn't stay too long because there weren't any other kids there and Chloe really wanted a "friend" to play with. After we got home mommy had to work on a baby shower cake for Mrs. Christy and so Chloe played on Nick Jr on the computer. She was a very good girl for mommy and I got my cake done very quickly.

Last night Mommy & Chloe both had hair appointments. Mommy went first and got a long awaited hair cut. The hair lady even said I was way over do. We weren't sure what excatly we were going to do with Chloe's hair but we knew we needed something different. Chloe was such a good sport and the perfect little girl while she got her hair cut. I couldn't believe how much we got cut off but I think she looks so much better and much more grown up. By the way, she can't stop looking at herself in the mirror!

Yesterday Mommy got off work early and picked Chloe up from the YMCA. We headed home to get the house cleaned for our company that was coming over. We are trying to have people over to see the house and fellowship with them. Chloe was so excited to have friends over and finally have someone to play with. We had the Polston's, The Paige's and The Diehl's. Mommy cooked lots of desserts for everyone to enjoy. We had cookies, brownies, strawberry shortcakes and an orange weight watcher cake. It was all very delicious. All the girls then went to the play room to play and the adults played scatagoories (did I spell that right?). We had such a good time and we feel like it's so important to have that fellowshiping time with our christian friends.
